What to expect

A free no obligation telephone consultation is available to everyone. Give me a call to have an informal chat to discuss speech and language development and concerns.

If you would like to proceed an initial assessment is required to determine your child’s strengths and needs in relation to their communication skills. This assessment may be formal or informal (play based) depending on your child’s age and stage of development. A report is written from this assessment outlining findings and recommendations.

These next steps could be:

  • Advice and review after an agreed time period.
  • Therapy sessions – individual sessions tailored to your child’s specific needs.
  • Therapy programmes – where appropriate a written programme and resources for home and nursery/school can be provided instead of a direct block of therapy.
  • Discharge – if your child’s speech and/or language skills are found to be within the expected range for their age.

Fees are available on request. If you have private healthcare please check to see if Speech and Language Therapy is covered. I work with most major insurance companies.
